Train Depot

With the help of CNB Bank we have been able to receive thousands of dollars in donations for the Depot Interior Rehab Project!.

The Berkeley Springs Train Depot, constructed in 1915 by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, stands as a testament to the town’s rich history and architectural heritage. Designed in the Mission Revival style, the one-story red brick building with its distinctive red tile roof served as a vital hub for passengers visiting the renowned hot springs and for transporting local produce and pulpwood.

Passenger services ceased in 1935, and over the years, the depot housed various municipal functions.

Recognizing its historical significance, a dedicated restoration effort culminated in a grand reopening on Veterans’ Day, November 11, 2023. The revitalized depot now serves as the official welcome center for Berkeley Springs, symbolizing the town’s commitment to preserving its past while fostering community engagement.
