Mayor Greg Visits Morgan County Rescue Mission Thrift Store
Bath, West Virginia — Mayor Greg Schene recently stopped by the Morgan County Rescue Mission Thrift Store, recognizing it as a valued member of the community and the greater Morgan County area.
During his visit, Mayor Schene spent time touring the store with the beloved “Miss Pat,” learning more about the Thrift Store’s ongoing work to support local individuals and families. In addition to its everyday outreach, the Morgan County Rescue Mission has also contributed to public safety efforts, helping fund the purchase of emergency vehicles that support first responders and strengthen services across the community.
“Thrift stores like this really reflect the giving spirit of our community,” said Mayor Schene. “I’ve always enjoyed thrifting—it’s a simple way to find something special while also helping neighbors in need. Giving back takes many forms, and this is a great example of that in action. Miss Pat and her team are a phenomenal group of women, and their dedication truly makes a difference every day.”
Residents and visitors are warmly encouraged to support the Thrift Store by stopping in to shop or by donating gently used items. The store is located at 800 Concord Avenue. From downtown Berkeley Springs, take U.S. Route 522 south for a short drive, then turn right onto Broadway Street, which connects to Concord Avenue. On-site parking is available. Donations of clothing, household goods, and small furnishings are always appreciated and go directly toward supporting the Morgan County Rescue Squad.
